This webinar will focus on parental grief associated with raising a child with an FASD. While workshops focus on learning about our children, interacting with them, seeking appropriate services for them, and practicing self care, rarely is grief discussed. Grief is a powerful emotion which is usually associated with death or the loss of a relationship. When we parent an individual with an FASD, we experience grief whether we acknowledge this to ourselves or others. Grieving is unique, but universal. How will accepting our grief embolden us? Plenty of time will be provided for dialogue.
