This presentation, sponsored by Proof Alliance, provides a brief overview of fetal alcohol spectrum  disorders (FASDs), including the history of this diagnosis, symptoms,  and current prevalence rates. Time is spent discussing the link  between the brain and behaviors in those impacted. Attendees will learn about functional differences in individuals with FASD, as well as  appropriate interventions and accommodations to maximize successful  outcomes.

About the Presenter

Julia Conkel-Ziebell, Ph.D., LP is a pediatric psychologist and lead psychologist at the Proof Alliance FASD Clinic.  She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota with a clinical focus in pediatric neuropsychology. She is a certified FASD trainer and has been providing FASD evaluations since 2010.
